On June 1, 2015, Life Care Center of Port Orchard, Washington, residents had the chance to attend a minor league baseball game.
The Tacoma Rainers took on the Round Rock Express from Texas, and residents enjoyed watching America’s pastime in action.
“I had a great time!” said one of the residents who attended.
“We had good seats and could see the game well,” said another. “It was great to be at a ball game again.”
What made the day even better was that the ball team held a barbecue for the residents, so they not only had their fill of one of their favorite sports but of tasty food as well.
Brooke Mueller, executive director, shared, “The most special part of the game was seeing the residents enjoy themselves and each other’s company at a community event.”
